This project automated the process of sorting and labeling incoming emails by using an n8n workflow integrated with AI. The system categorizes emails into priority, personal, notifications, newsletters, business, administrative, and spam labels. By automating email management, the workflow reduces manual effort and improves inbox organization, making it easier to prioritize and respond to important messages.
Challenges & Problems
Before automation, managing emails required manually reviewing each message, determining its category, and applying appropriate labels. This process was time-consuming, prone to oversight, and led to cluttered inboxes with important emails easily getting lost among less relevant ones.
Solutions Provided
An n8n workflow was built to trigger when new emails arrive in Gmail. It uses AI-driven classification to determine the appropriate label for each email. The workflow applies labels such as Priority, Personal, Notifications, Newsletter, Business, Administrative, and Spam automatically. Additionally, the system supports reclassification and filtering to maintain an organized and manageable inbox. The use of OpenAI Chat Models enhances accuracy in identifying email categories and ensures relevant labeling.
