Project Goals

This project automated the process of creating WordPress blog posts by integrating data retrieval, content generation, and image creation within a single n8n workflow. The system extracts URLs, checks publish dates, generates blog content and sections using AI models, creates featured images, and uploads everything directly to WordPress. This workflow significantly reduces manual content creation efforts, making the blog post publishing process more streamlined and efficient.

Challenges & Problems

Before automation, creating blog posts involved manually gathering URLs, extracting content, writing and formatting blog sections, generating images, updating metadata, and publishing on WordPress. This manual process was time-consuming, prone to inconsistencies, and limited scalability for frequent posting.

Solutions Provided

An n8n workflow was configured with a scheduled trigger to periodically run the creation process. It starts by fetching URLs and checking publish dates, then uses AI models to create tables of contents, content sections, and full articles. Image prompts are generated and converted to visuals, which are resized and uploaded as featured images to WordPress. Subsequent steps update meta data and publish the post automatically on WordPress. The use of OpenAI and AI-driven image generation tools enables high-quality content and visual creation with minimal human intervention.
